On Mesh, there are 3 ways to give feedback.
1. Social Feed
On your Mesh home page dashboard, you can give both public or private feedback to anyone via the sharing box at the top of the feed. Checkout the social feed documentation to know in detail about using the sharing box for feedback.
2. Continuous Feedback Section
Found inside the review module, you can use this to not only request for feedback but also share it.The way continuous feedback works is the counter denotes the number of feedback you've received, requested or shared. This counter never resets but gets auto-updated the moment there's any activity on the feedback front.
Requesting Feedback
You can request feedback from anyone within your organization by typing in their name in the "from" field. The "feedback for" field can either carry your name, if you're requesting the feedback for yourself or suppose you, as a manager, wants some feedback for one of your direct reports from another manager then you can input the name of your direct report in this field.
Next, for the "feedback visibility" you can decide who all should see the feedback by selecting any of the five given options . These are,
- Receiver and Manager
- Only Receiver
- Only Manager
- Note to self
- Public
In the next field, you can add any of your goals that you need a feedback on and, in the last "share request details" field, you need to give some context on what kind of feedback you're seeking or in case you have any particular questions, you can list them down here. Finally, hit the "request" button at the bottom.
Sharing Feedback
While sharing feedback, enter the name of the person to whom you're giving the feedback. Next, pick the feedback type from between "Praise" or "Advice". The difference between the two is that since Praise means appreciative feedback its visibility has been default set to public as all the praises need to be out there in public. However, for anything apart from Praise, select the Advice option, which will give you the same visibility options as you get while requesting feedback.
Other than that, rest of the options remain identical to when requesting feedback.
3. Slack
You can also request feedback from your peers and manager via slack, if it has been enabled for your organization. All you need to do is use the command /mesh help and hit enter. An automated message from Mesh will open outlining 3 options,
- Praise
- Request Feedback
- Goals
Click on Request Feedback and then fill out the form outlining the user, the feedback and the privacy option, and hit submit.

Checkout the article on using Slack with Mesh for more information on the integration.
All the feedback that an employee receives along with its evaluation in correspondence with the competencies can be seen under the feedback analytics.
Note: The feedback module now allows giving and requesting feedback from multiple people at once and is available on both iOS and Android as well.
